Modernizing the Phone Channel for Global Outbound

In this episode, Pascaline Albin, Head of Global Sales Development at Intercom, joins Nooks to share how her team modernized its outbound motion across regions. When she joined Intercom, the phone was already the team’s strongest conversion channel, but reps were still dialing manually, connect rates were below 4%, managers had limited visibility, and coaching was mostly reactive.

After partnering with RevOps to evaluate parallel dialers, Intercom ran back-to-back trials and chose Nooks after seeing fast, measurable impact: a 70% increase in average dials per rep per day, doubled connect rates, and a 160% increase in meetings created from cold calling during the trial. Since rolling Nooks out more broadly, Intercom has continued to scale its global SDR motion, improve coaching, and build a more efficient, call-first outbound engine.
