The Problem: The "Context-Switching Tax"

Before unifying their stack on Nooks, the day-to-day workflow for a Rasa BDR was a constant tool-switching exercise. The team ran Unify as their sales engagement platform (SEP) alongside Nooks as their dialer, which left efficiencies on the table.

A rep would start their morning in Unify to work their sequences, but when it was time to call, they had to leave Unify and switch over to Nooks to actually dial. Once a call was completed, the rep had to return to Unify to manually mark the call task as complete. Because the integration routed everything through Salesforce first, Unify didn't always accurately reflect the latest activity, leading to messy reporting and open tasks that had already been executed.

Prospecting and sequencing were equally fragmented. To build a thoughtful account approach, a rep had to bounce between Sales Navigator for contacts, Salesforce for account history, their conversational intelligence tool for prior call context, and Unify to draft the message. It took four or five tabs just to put together one personalized outreach.

Because true personalization required reps to write from scratch, the process took 15 to 20 minutes per personalized email. This manual labor meant that outreach quality varied wildly across the team, and sales leaders couldn't isolate what messaging was actually working.

The Switch: Consolidating Sequencing in the Nooks Workspace

Will's primary goal was to collapse the fragmented workflow and get SDRs working out of a single tab all the time. When Nooks launched their Sales Engagement Platform featuring frontier models built directly inside the workspace, the decision was obvious. Rasa could consolidate their stack without having to engineer the backend or stitch systems together with webhooks.

Scaling AI Personalization

By moving their sequencing to Nooks, Rasa gave their entire team access to the same tools and the same baseline for quality messaging. Leaders build AI prompts that live natively inside the platform and connect to internal data.

"With the AI agents in Nooks, that same 15 to 20 minutes per email becomes 15 to 20 minutes per 30 emails," Will explains. "If you build the prompts right, the output reads like a research document from a 15 or 20 year experienced salesperson."

To ensure quality control, Nooks includes a review step so reps aren't copy-pasting AI output blindly. The platform also cites its sources, allowing reps to trace a claim back to its origin. This ensures reps genuinely learn the account history, rather than just sending an automated message about it.

Elevating Multi-Channel Execution

By having AI handle the heavy lifting of research, email becomes a meaningful preparation step instead of a task to dread. Rasa views cold email as the essential framework for their outreach. Writing a strong email forces the rep to complete the account research, articulate a clear hypothesis, and establish a relevant angle. Once that email is drafted in Nooks, the call script essentially writes itself, and the LinkedIn touch is elevated by a clear point of view.

The Results: 4x Meeting Rates and Slashing Ramp Time

Consolidating their sequencing and dialing into Nooks delivered an immediate, compounding business impact.

Between January and March, Rasa's connect rates hovered between 8% and 11%, while meeting rates were stuck between 0.3% and 0.9%. The team went live with the Nooks SEP on April 15th, and the results broke their historical patterns entirely.

During the week of April 20th, the team hit a 3.9% meeting rate—an improvement of four to ten times their prior baseline. Connect rates jumped to 16.4%, and average call duration increased from 28-35 seconds up to 53 seconds, indicating that reps were having real, high-quality conversations.

Key Results:

✓ Massive Meeting Lift: Meeting rates jumped from a baseline of 0.3-0.9% to 3.9%.

✓ 16.4% Connect Rate: Eliminating workflow friction allowed reps to sustain 13-16% connect rates.

✓ High-Quality Conversations: Average call duration increased from a maximum of 35 seconds to 53 seconds.

✓Accelerated Ramp Time: New BDRs are now comfortable picking up the phone and getting meaningful account coverage within a couple of weeks, a process that previously took two to three months.

By giving reps a single source of truth for messaging and execution, Rasa transformed their top-of-funnel output.

"The short version: same headcount, more accounts touched at higher quality, faster ramp on new hires," Will concludes. "That's the ROI."

"Using a legacy SEP today is like trying to build a rocket ship with a hammer. Nooks lets a smaller BDR team touch more accounts at higher quality, with faster ramp on new hires, all through a single source of truth for our messaging and motion." — Will Shaffer, Manager Global Business Development, Rasa
